Small Business is not small at all.

Small business owners, or SBOs, are the lifeblood of our global economy. Around the world, "small business" is defined differently by regional government bodies, usually based on revenue and/or number of employees.

In the USA, more than 99.7% of ALL businesses are labeled by the SBA as small businesses, each with annual revenue of less than $7.5 million.

The European Commission measures 99% of all enterprises as small/medium (SME) with revenue of less than $11 million (€10 million) each.

Across Asia, the definition of small enterprise ranges from less than $3 million in annual revenue to less than $11 million, with between 97% and 99.7% of all businesses falling into this designation, with India as the sole outlier at "only" 90%.

Behind every one of those SBs, there stands an SBO that quite often feels alone in the weighty responsibility they carry for themselves, their employees, their vendors, and all of the families they directly and indirectly sustain.

It is easy for an SBO to feel "small" in a world that lavishes adulation on unicorns and mega-mega. So, always remember, you may be small, but are part of something really big!

Also remember there are resources available to you that are specifically geared to the SBO journey you are on. The wisdom, experience and support that comes from finding the right SBO coach - someone that has walked your path before - can lighten the weighty load you carry every day
